It is worrying if you or your organisation becomes the victim of an online scam or cyber attack. Resources and support are available to help you recover — and reporting helps Europe fight back.
Medium to large organisations
Activate your incident response plan, isolate affected systems, and preserve evidence. Report to your national cyber security authority and, for criminal activity, your national police. EC3 can coordinate cross-border investigations.
Sole traders & small businesses
Disconnect affected devices, change passwords from a clean device, and contact your bank if payments are involved. Report the crime through your national reporting portal — you will not be judged, and your report matters.
Individuals
Start with your email account: secure it first, then work through your other accounts. If money was stolen, contact your bank immediately and report the crime to the police in your country.
